Occasionally, Ananda Marga at Maamo, Quezon City hosts a vegan smorgasbord. It was my first time to attend one last April 21. My stomach was quite prepared to be loaded as I couldn’t resist to have a taste of everything. Salad was a bestseller then the grilled tofu. The rest were just as delicious: cucumber, kare-kare, dinuguan, menudo, lumpia and gelatin.
Besides food, there were also musical performances, fire dance and talks about vegetarianism being a way of life and being anti-capitalism. We also had freebies of reading materials from PETA. Great night!
